About Bel & Gray 🎀

A little business that’s been growing and changing since 2019.

Bel & Gray began in 2019, created by me, Bel, and named with the “Gray” for my son. 🤍

What started as a little sewing adventure making children's clothing and bucket hats quickly grew into so much more. Over the years I've made wool vests, embroidered pieces, created and sold PDF embroidery patterns, and spent plenty of weekends at markets meeting customers and sharing the things I'd made.

In 2023, I suffered my second back injury, and it became harder to continue sewing the way I had before. So in 2024, I decided to press pause on Bel & Gray and take some time to figure out what came next.

During that time, I launched my own PDF embroidery patterns, had a little break, read 127 books, got an accounting degree (lol)… and eventually found my way back to creating.

And here we are in 2026, starting a whole new chapter. 📖

This time, Bel & Gray is bringing you something for the book lovers, handmade quilted book sleeves, made in small batches right here in New Zealand, designed to give your favourite reads a cute little home wherever your next chapter takes you.

Bel & Gray has changed a lot since 2019, but the heart of it hasn't, I still just really love making things.
